Our solution to the seemingly endless debate that is Gun Control is relatively simple, the government should do nothing, adding more restrictions only punishes law abiding citizens for crimes that others are committing, if anything, the government should encourage citizens to own a firearm in the home so that if a bad person attacks them with a firearm they wrongly got they can defend themselves. Any criminal would rather steal from someone without a firearm, a firearm is the perfect deterrent to keep criminals from committing crimes, criminals are much less likely to attack someone with a gun because they obviously pose more of a threat. Obviously background checks are needed when purchasing a firearm, bad people shouldn't be allowed to own guns, good people should be able too, bad things will happen and nobody can change that but we cannot curb people's liberties in the name of anti guns. The easiest way to protect people from bad people is for them to protect themselves.
